If you can do a fun adventure and get an item you need (Trying to find extra credits video on it.) Players will take the path of least resistance by default, even if it is less fun, a major rule of game design, and something hard to avoid.
did you react this way to Thunder/Dino/Timeless Isle in MoP? were you peeved you couldn't fly in the Molten Front? those zones were all designed without flight in mind, and were better because of it. It's not like you still can't fly in the Broken Isles, just not Argus. now all you do is fly down, kill, fly away. take for example a current Wardens world quest before flying you had to fight your way to the mob, or be careful in which way you went cause you were avoiding trash. they want it to be challenging for players, having flying removes the challenge. but by making Argus a no fly zone does mean that the devs can be creative with how they make the environment.
personally, i think they should just make it purchasable at 110 or at least make the achievement doable from day 1. But putting it in at 7.2 and taking it out of current content (which is ARGUS, not the stuff we've been playing for a year) in 7.3 is just a jackass move.of course I played through all the content in BC through to MoP - I enjoy flying and use it where available, who wouldn't, but I'm not gonna rage just because it's not there. I'd still think it's silly to remove it but whatever. It's fine to have people earn it but it's a dick move to make it earnable and then disable it the VERY NEXT PATCH. When flying is not around, those of us who like it CANNOT choose to.Īlso, they utterly fucked this up this expansion. If you feel you need to in order to gather etc, you can choose to fly only during those times. Says the person who obviously didn't play from TBC through MoP when you could, in fact, fly almost everywhere in current content once you hit max level and bought flying.Īnd how do you not get that you're coming across like a jackass? If you don't want to fly you can CHOOSE not to.
